Medvednica, beside natural beauty, is a great natural museum which hides many fossilized plants and animals, millions of years old. Quarries in the north-west side of Zagreb offer plenty of miniature life stories while Medvednica was an island in the Pannonian sea, and Zagreb - under the water.

If you like we can ask experts in geology-paleontology to join us. They will answer to any question about rocks, fossilized fish, shellfish, dinosaur, and help you finding your own souvenir - fossil.
